On Friday January 6th, 2012, local Anarchists hosted the first Atlanta visit of the Mysterious Rabbit Puppet Army, a Chapel Hill N.C. puppet troop. The show consisted of an anarchist version of the children's classic Hansel and Gretel, and then a longer piece about the history and purpose of prison's in America. After the show, I got a chance to go backstage and interview one of the puppet performers, Donnie Don't. The MRPA has been doing puppet shows for three years and use comedy and creative storytelling to explain complex social issues. It certainly isn't your Grandparents puppet show, but it is still safe for your preteen revolutionary. This show runs about 52 minutes.
